　　《发展受阻》第五季于2018年5月29日回归，率先放出八集，余下九集将于18年年底播出。本季将聚焦与露西尔二号悬而未决的谋杀案。

　　发展受阻第四季讲述的是在剧中扮演托巴亚斯·芬克（TobiasFunke）的大卫·克罗斯说整个剧组都能感受到更多的创作自由，因为他们现在不需要考虑电视台的需求了。
