　　心里阴暗的哈里队长深夜潜入局长办公室，找到了拉萨雷校长年届退休的证据，哈里志满意得，认为这是顶替拉萨雷的绝好机会。另一方面，校长又送走了一批毕业生，在典礼上，官方宣布了拉萨雷即将退休的消息，而一生兢兢业业的校长也得到了在迈阿密颁发的十年来最佳警官的荣誉。拉萨雷校长携高塔（BubbaSmith饰）、卡伦、泰克布雷、琼斯（MichaelWinslow饰）等一干优秀警校毕业生，与哈里一同赶往迈阿密参加警方盛典。在出机场时，拉萨雷误将窃贼团伙装有赃物珠宝的手提袋拿走，无法向委托人交差的窃贼们只有在24小时内从拉萨雷处娶回珠宝才有活命的希望。参加盛典的警校精英们在迈阿密享受着美妙的阳光，不知危险正在暗中逼近……

　　间官周吉的妻子去世得早，留下他和三个孩子相依为命。幸一是周吉的大儿子，他和名为百合子的女子结为夫妇，两人和周吉同住。幸一的妹妹秋子是一个走在时代前沿的新新女性，并不着急着嫁为人妇的她目前在办公室工作。家中最小的孩子和夫还在上学。一大家子人住在一起，生活拥挤而又充满生机。
　　看到哥哥和嫂嫂恩恩爱爱，秋子感到寂寞难耐，于是前往公共浴室成为了侍浴女郎，谁知道竟然在某一日遇见了前来消费的幸一。原来，幸一和百合子虽然表面和睦，可实际上感情早已经分崩离析，性欲无法得到满足的幸一选择了离家出走。家里的人一个又一个的离开了，最终只剩下百合子和公公周吉相依为命。

1971年，五位即将毕业的德州大学生，由於当时越战正如火如荼的进行中，他们面临着被徵召的命运，不只如此，对往後人生出路的安排，亦让他们心烦意乱。於是带头的盖德纳（凯文科斯特纳，「与狼共舞」、「未来水世界」）提出开车创天涯的建议，希望能在踏入现实社会之前，好好享受年轻人的特权。本片原为学生形式的记录片，片长只有22分种，但是史蒂芬史匹伯看过之後，建议导演凯文雷诺，可将本片拍成一部电影，在本片中主角凯文科斯特纳有精湛的演出。

　　一场车祸夺去了两个动物学家兄弟的妻子，随后，他们一边迷恋着那个在车祸中失去一条腿的女人，一边用摄影机记录各种动物尸体腐烂的过程。在影片静态的画面中，那些鳄鱼、小狗、天鹅、斑马的尸体一点点地变黑、干瘪、喷出腐水、爬出蛆虫。最终，女人那条剩下的腿也“渐渐死去”、被截除，她在生下一对属于两兄弟的双胞胎之后死去。两兄弟则在镜头前注射毒剂，把自己的尸体作为最后一种研究和展示对象。

　　近十年前在国内艺术电影院上映过的西德爱情喜剧，导演柏西．艾德隆曾以此片走红国际影坛，女主角是胖妞玛丽安娜．萨吉布雷特。剧情描述在殡仪馆工作的女孩被年轻英俊的地铁司机所吸引，对他暗中观察调查，当发现他太太外出两个星期时，乃采取行动跟梦中情人达成偷情的心愿。本片可以说是“女为悦已者容"的有趣见证，导演采取高度实验性精神来处理这个奇特的爱情故事，长拍镜头与色彩运用均别具新意，是娱乐效果颇高的另类作品。
